Champagne has always been an eccentric among wine regions.

The big houses, which have been operating the wine region for 300 years, can farm nearly 34,000 hectares of grapes, which they get through sixteen thousand producers.

These producers are the growers, most of the vineyards are theirs, and a small percentage of them, despite the record-high purchase price, do not pass on the crop, preferring to make their own wine, grower champagne.

Grower champagne is typically the champagne of family estates of a few hectares. It is made in small quantities, from its own territory, from its own cultivated grapes, so the raw material is even more decisive here, and the wines are varied and expressive.
